They were passing Duanesburg on their way to their parents' house in Worchester. In an attempt to make the ride less boring, Grace was explaining her theories about Gravity Falls, "Well, Brobro, he's constantly called Stanford but the license on his car says Stanley's car. My point is, Stan Pines has a brother. It's the only plausible explanation." She excitedly looked to her brother for his response.

Luke put on his blinker and switched lanes to pass the slower car in front of them. Usually, he would just nod his head and pretend like he understood, like he was doing now.

Grace was vaguely disappointed in his response, or lack-thereof, "Okay, what do you wanna talk about then, Mr. It's just a children's show it's not that deep?" she said as she readjusted herself in the passenger's seat.

"I'm not sure," he responded. Once he had passed the slow car, he turned on his blinker once again and came back to the right lane. The exit was still quite a few miles down the road.

They were quiet for a few seconds before Grace spoke, "Who do you think Mom is gonna set you up with this weekend?" she joked. Their mom has a history of setting up surprise blind dates for Luke. Grace really found them funny though.

Luke sighed. "Hopefully nobody," he said. He didn't have a very good history in terms of dates. Most of them consisted of him sitting awkwardly at a table and trying to make awkward conversation while awkwardly avoiding awkward eye contact.

Grace held back her chuckles, "Hopefully everybody."

Luke shook his head. If his memory was correct, the last time he had went on one of his mother's set ups, he nearly set fire to a restaurant. Which was totally not his fault.

Grace sat quietly for a few seconds before Luke's phone went off. She took it from in the cup holder.

"It's mom, she wants to know if we're on our way."

"She said you're a dork." Grace said with a smile. Her own phone went off then and she checked it.
Mama!! :3 Do you 2 have anything planned for the weekend while you're home?
Grace raised an eyebrow and replied to her mom
you Luke doesn't wanna go on a date. As much fun as it is, he's really distracted w stuff right now.

Luke's eyes flitted towards Grace's phone just long enough to avoid fiery death, but just long enough to read the messages. "I'm still not going on a date."
